Teens charged with aiding an offender in connection to deadly Minneapolis shooting
MINNEAPOLIS — Two teens are charged after they claimed to have not known the person who police believed shot and killed a 15-year-old girl Saturday in north Minneapolis. The two teens are both charged by juvenile petition with aiding an offender after their 15-year-old cousin was found shot inside a home in the Folwell neighborhood Saturday afternoon. The teens, ages 16 and 17, each told police they didn't know the suspect was in the home at the time of the shooting.

Man arrested after standoff in southern Minnesota
FARIBAULT, Minn. – A Monday afternoon standoff in Rice County ended with one man being arrested. The Faribault Police Department says, just after 1:30 pm, officers responded to a report of a domestic assault involving a knife in the 300 block of Second Avenue SW. Officers say they got to the scene, made sure the victim of the alleged assault and a witness were safely out of the house and established a perimeter to prevent the alleged assaulter from getting away.

As for the severe weather potential, the Storm Prediction Center has easternmost ND, the central Valley, and parts of northwest MN in a Marginal Risk (Level 1, isolated) for severe storms, with an area of Slight Risk (Level 2, scattered) for severe storms from the Devils Lake basin down through the James River Valley. Hail up to 1.5″ and damaging winds up to 60 mph are the primary threats. There is a low threat of a tornado, generally to the west of our region. These storms will continue overnight from west to east, so make sure to have ways to receive warnings/alerts during the night! Might be a good idea to park in the garage before bed if that is a possibility, as well as bring in the potted plants.
