Flood Watch issued for several Michigan counties ahead of tonight’s storms
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch for several Lower Michigan counties from 9 p.m. Monday until 4a.m. Tuesday. Last night, heavy rain fell from Ottawa County east through Kent and Ionia counties and south. As a result, the ground is saturated and heavy rain associated with tonight’s storms will heighten the risk of flooding for these areas. Smaller streams may reach flood stage. Flood-prone urban areas are also at risk.
