Memphis man sentenced in theft, fleeing case
A Memphis man arrested late last year in a theft and fleeing case was sentenced Monday to 12 months in the Greene County jail. According to court records, Quinton L. Shaw, 36, of Memphis pleaded guilty to fleeing, theft of property under $1,000 and aggravated assault. Shaw received the 12-month sentence on the fleeing and theft charges, and a 36-month suspended sentence on the aggravated assault charge.

Two arrested for drug trafficking
A couple of Paragould residents were being held this week in the Greene County jail after their arrests on suspicion of trafficking a controlled substance. Heather Howe, 36, of Paragould was arrested May 30 after an investigation by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. According to a probable cause affidavit, deputies went to a home on Greene 516 Road to do a probation search. While there, Howe was at the home and told authorities that the keys she had in her possession were not working.
