Rams end softball season with 10-2 loss
Class 3A eighth ranked PCM was a 10-2 Region 2 first round softball winner in Monroe last night vs. the Greene County Rams. The contest was heard on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com. The Mustangs are 22-5 and advance to the semifinals while the Rams end with a 4-20 record and 11 straight losses. The Rams lost all three meetings with the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference champions, PCM.
North Polk presents big challenge for Rams
The 2-19 Greene County Rams go to 23-6 and third ranked North Polk tonight in Alleman to open Class 3A Substate baseball tournament play. Coach Kyle Stalder’s team is facing the Comets on their diamond to open the postseason for the second straight season. The Rams are a Class 3A program in baseball and have a sharing program with Paton-Churdan in both softball and baseball.

Next Mobile Office Hours Announced From Congressman Nunn’s Office
Staffers for US Congressman Zach Nunn will be visiting several locations, including three in the Raccoon Valley Radio soon. Representatives will be at the Greene County Fair tomorrow from 10am-4pm, the Stuart Public Library this Thursday from 2-4pm and at the Adair County Courthouse in Greenfield on July 25th from 10am-noon. Constituents can get help with Social Security, Medicare, passports, visas, benefits for veterans, military records, tax returns and other social issues with the federal government.
Softball postseason for Rams starts tonight
It’s Greene County making the long bus ride to Monroe to face Class 3A number 8 PCM in the opening round of regional softball play tonight. The Rams lost both Heart of Iowa Activities Conference meetings to the Mustangs and at 4-19 with a 10 game losing streak, the Rams are certainly the underdogs. Tonight’s game will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com with coverage after 6:30 p.m. and first pitch set for 7 o’clock.

One lacks character, displays despotic tendencies, and has previously called for the termination of constitutional provisions that stand in the way of his return to power; the other has now shown that he lacks the mental acuity necessary for the office.

After a team batting average above the .300 mark for much of the season, the Greene County softball team has seen it’s BA drop to .273 entering Regional tournament play tomorrow night in Monroe vs. Class 3A number 8 PCM. The Rams are 4-19 and have lost their last 10 games.
