Car crashes after being pursued through multiple counties, 2 taken into custody
COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Two suspects are in custody after they were pursued in multiple counties on Monday afternoon. The Ohio State Highway Patrol said a vehicle which had been reported stolen was seen in Richland County which had been involved in multiple pursuits with prior agencies. Shortly afterward, a trooper in Knox County saw the vehicle headed south on State Route 95.

Baseball (9-15) In between a pair of losses, the Bluejays earned a sweep against Greene County (1-16) this season after defending Perry’s home diamond with a 1-0 win. Putting most at-bats into play, the Bluejays struck out a season-low one time, providing a chance at bases in almost every appearance. That led to five singles from five batters, but it was Gabriel Beato-Amparo who was the first and only player from both dugouts to cross home plate — earning the go-ahead run in the fifth inning.

A 23-year-old man shot and wounded by Xenia police officers Sunday was booked into the Greene County Jail Tuesday evening following his release from Miami Valley Hospital. Two Xenia police officers are on administrative leave as part of “routine procedure” related to an officer-involved shooting Sunday. The police shooting was the second within 24 hours in the Dayton area.
Fish Pantry to hold Resource Fair Wednesday
XENIA —The Greene County Fish Pantry, 774 Cincinnati Ave., in conjunction with Greene Cats, will be holding a resource fair at its facility on Wednesday, July 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be several informational booths on hand and free hot dogs, drinks, and kiddie gift bags will be offered to those attending the resource fair.
