LATEST: Man shot by police now in jail; 2 Xenia officers on leave
A 23-year-old man shot and wounded by Xenia police officers Sunday was booked into the Greene County Jail Tuesday evening following his release from Miami Valley Hospital. Two Xenia police officers are on administrative leave as part of “routine procedure” related to an officer-involved shooting Sunday. The police shooting was the second within 24 hours in the Dayton area.
One dead, another injured in crash
XENIA — One person was killed and another critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in Xenia Township Tuesday. According to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 8:15 p.m. at Wilberforce Clifton Road and Charleton Mill Road. There were four occupants in the vehicle at the time of the crash.
