GREENFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The streets were filled with the sound of engines as the ‘Antique Motorcycle Club of America’ held its first parade in Greenfield to celebrate its 70th anniversary.

The parade, which started on Main Street and ended at Court Square, featured nearly 60 motorcyclists, showcasing their bikes for the public to see. This location holds special significance for the club as it was the site of their first National Meet back in 1954. The parade was led by American TV personality and host of Chasing Classic Cars, Wayne Carini.

“Coming to this event means a lot to me because I love vintage motorcycles. I love motorcycles in general,” said Carini. “But to be amongst the like-minded people just out, to have a good time and enjoy each other’s company means a lot to me.”

“The far majority of these riders are anywhere from up to Maine down to Pennsylvania. But there might be some that are farther way,” added Antique Motorcycle Club of America Executive Director, Keith Kizer.

The Franklin County Fairgrounds is hosting the club’s National Motorcycle Swap Meet through Sunday. Admission is $5 per person and there are seminars and bike shows to attend.
