Memphis, TN – Severe storms are forecasted to hit Memphis and Nashville tonight, with damaging winds being the primary concern. According to the US National Weather Service in Memphis, isolated severe storms are possible from 9 PM to 1 AM, impacting northeast Arkansas, southeast Missouri, and northwest Tennessee. Residents are advised to stay weather aware and have a plan to take shelter if needed.
Beans, blackberries and peppers: Local produce affected by moderate drought conditions throughout East Tennessee
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — While we've got some rain in the forecast coming up, we know that this summer has been particularly dry. Based on the latest drought monitor for mid-July, this is the most widespread moderate drought that we've seen since about 2007. East Tennessee did have a drought in 2016 that was more intense, but not quite as widespread.

TENNESSEE – For the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) 11th Annual America’s Best Looking Trooper Cruisers Contest, the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) took photos inside the iconic Neyland Stadium, home of the Tennessee Volunteer Football Program. The photo features a 2023 THP Dodge Charger and Lieutenant Eric Miller, who serves in the Knoxville District. Miller is recognizable from his time on the sidelines escorting University of Tennessee Football Head Coach, Josh Heupel. Miller is also a graduate of Oliver Springs High School.
