That’s old axiom applies to Jim Dreyer, the soon-to-be 61-year-old Grand Haven ultra-marathon swimmer who failed twice last year to swim across Lake Michigan on the 25th anniversary of his initial solo effort. The two attempts from Milwaukee to Grand Haven were stymied by conditions beyond his control.
