The Latest Northeast Wisconsin Forecast from Storm Team 5…. Its been the definition of a perfect summer day here this afternoon with seasonal temperatures, comfy dew points, light winds and of course plenty of sunshine. For the rest of today, I’m expecting sunshine to give way to clear skies and low temperatures to fall back into the mid to upper 50s.
Trap Shooter RJ Gropp wins State Title
Moves on to the Champion of Champions championship held in Sparta, Illinois. Berlin trap shooter RJ Gropp wins the Wisconsin Singles Championship for his category (Junior, ages 15-18) hitting 198 of 200 clay targets and will again represent the State of Wisconsin for the fourth time in the last 5 years in the Champion of Champions Event at the World Trapshooting Championships held at The Amateur Trap Shooting Association (ATA) Grand American World Shooting and Recreational Complex in Sparta, IL.
44th AD Dem primary candidates Roe, Myers both back more funding for education
Two Democratic candidates, both former congressional candidates, are running in a primary for the heavily Dem 44th Assembly District seat in the Janesville area. Ann Roe of Janesville is a small business owner and former instructor at UW-Whitewater who ran for Wisconsin’s 1st CD in 2022, but lost to U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil, R-Janesville.
