Suspect Arrested for Home Burglary in Athens After Drinking $80 Bourbon Bottle
On July 27, 2024, at approximately 7:30 PM, Athens-Clarke County Police responded to a home on South Milledge regarding a possible burglary. Upon arrival, officers confronted a male exiting the residence and placed him in custody. The suspect had entered the home through an unlocked door. While in the home, the suspect drank an $80 bottle of bourbon and was apprehended with a $30 bottle in his possession.
