All of the men allegedly involved in the assault and conspiracy are currently in Guilford County jail for various crimes.

Foster was arrested in December 2023 and charged with felony first-degree murder, misdemeanor larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny.

He is accused, along with two others, of stealing around $83 worth of beer from the Sheetz on Sandy Ridge Road. The suspects were confronted by Sgt. Dale Nix, of Greensboro Police Department. Officials say that Foster shot Nix before the suspects drove away from the scene. Nix died that day at the hospital.

They were arrested and charged the day after the shooting. Foster was given no bond and has been in custody since his arrest.
