There are 156 golfers in the 2024 Wyndham Championship field, with many of them trying to crack the top 70 of the FedEx Cup rankings to earn a trip to the FedEx St. Jude Championship. Defending champion Lucas Glover is a 100-1 longshot in the 2024 Wyndham Championship odds, while Sungjae Im is the 16-1 favorite. Glover is 76th in the FedEx Cup standings, missing the cut in four of his last six tournaments.

Top 2024 Wyndham Championship golf predictions

One surprise: Spieth, a three-time major champion, does not finish inside the top 10 this week. He has seen his world ranking dip to No. 37, and he is No. 63 in the FedEx Cup standings heading into the final tournament of the regular season. Spieth could wind up needing sponsor invites to play in certain tournaments next year if he does not jump inside the top 50 and qualify for the second leg of the playoffs.

There are no signs pointing toward a strong week from Spieth, who has not finished better than T25 since a T10 at the Valero Texas Open in early April. He only has three top-10 finishes in 20 events overall this season, missing the cut six times. Spieth ranks outside the top 90 on the PGA Tour in scoring average, scrambling and shots gained approaching the green.

The model has also examined where Im finishes. The 26-year-old has gone nearly three years without a PGA Tour win, but he has been playing solid golf in recent months. He has posted eight top-12 finishes in his last 10 tournaments, including a T3 at the Travelers Championship and a T7 in the Open Championship.

Im ranks 13th on the PGA Tour in birdie average and 23rd in total strokes gained, but he is outside the top 100 in driving distance. He has three top-10 finishes in five starts at Sedgefield Country Club, finishing inside the top 25 in all five appearances. There are several other top players in the field this week though, so Im will need to stay consistent to break his title drought.
