Victor Perez knows something about finishing one spot outside of a coveted position and doesn't want that happening again. The 31-year-old Frenchman finished fourth at the Olympics last weekend and is currently 71st in the FedEx Cup standings entering the 2024 Wyndham Championship, which tees off from Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C. on Thursday at 6:50 a.m. ET. Perez is listed at 70-1 to win in the latest 2024 Wyndham Championship odds, so is it worth including him in 2024 Wyndham Championship bets?

The top 70 in total points from the PGA Tour season qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, so Perez will likely be focused more on scoring high enough to crack the top 70 than winning, but is there value in him doing both at the Wyndham Championship 2024? Sungjae Im is the 16-1 favorite followed by Si Woo Kim, Billy Horschel and Shane Lowry at 25-1 odds to win in the wide-open 2024 Wyndham Championship field. Before locking in your 2024 Wyndham Championship picks or PGA props, be sure to see the golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

Our proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up more than $9,000 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament.

This same model has also nailed a whopping 13 majors entering the weekend, including the 2024 Masters -- its third Masters in a row -- and this year's PGA Championship and U.S. Open. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now with the Wyndham Championship 2024 field set, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

One surprise: Jordan Spieth, a three-time major champion, does not finish inside the top 10 this week. Spieth ended a nearly four-year winless drought at the 2021 Valero Texas Open and then added a 13th career PGA Tour victory the following spring at the 2022 RBC Heritage. However, he's been stuck on 13 victories for 28 months now and the former world No. 1 has slipped all the way to 39th in the Official World Golf Ranking.

Spieth is 63rd in the FedEx Cup standings and will be making his first Wyndham Championship appearance in three seasons as he looks to shore up a playoff spot. He finished outside the top 70 at Sedgefield in his last two appearances at this event (2019 and 2020) and he hasn't finished better than T-25th in a PGA Tour event since the Texas Open in April.

The model has also examined where Im finishes. Im is the 20th-ranked player in the world and the only golfer in the top 25 competing at the 2024 Wyndham Championship. He's ninth in the FedEx Cup standings, the highest of any golfer in the 2024 Wyndham Championship field, so it's understandable why he's the favorite to win this weekend.

However, Im hasn't won a PGA Tour event since 2021 as he's winless over his last 76 PGA Tour events. Although this will be his sixth Wyndham Championship, Im has never played at Sedgefield Country Club, so that could cause a new challenge for him and he's finished outside of the top 10 in two of his last three Wyndham Championship tournaments despite it often being one of the weakest fields on the PGA Tour schedule. How to make 2024 Wyndham Championship picks

The model has revealed where Sungjae Im and Jordan Spieth finish, along with identifying four golfers with odds of 35-1 or longer to make a strong run at the title. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model's picks here .
