2 men, 1 from Leitchfield, captured in Hart Co. after committing theft in Grayson Co.
Two suspects, one a Leitchfield man, accused of committing a thefts in Grayson County have been arrested in Hart County. On Friday, the Hart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of the two suspects, traveling in a Ford truck, being followed by the victim. The victim followed the truck until losing sight of the suspects, but a Hart County deputy encountered the vehicle on Millerstown Road (Hwy 224) between the Hart County line and Upton.

Portion of KY 49 named in honor of Tom Brahm
To honor the late Tom Brahm, a portion of KY 49 now bears the name “Tom Brahm Memorial Highway.” Brahm, who was mayor of Loretto, passed away in 2023. The request was made to the Transportation Cabinet by Senator Jimmy Higdon and Rep. Sarge Pollock, who were on hand last week when the road, from West Marion Elementary School (mile point 25.531) north to Hughes Lane (mile point 26.253)when the road signs were installed.
Kentucky Brotherhood rides through Lebanon, honors fallen officer
About 40 cyclists came to Lebanon on July 19 to honor a fallen officer at a plaque dedicated to him outside the Sheriff’s office. The cyclists, a group consisting of all different kinds of first responders, were members of the Kentucky Brotherhood, a group that travels to various Kentucky towns and cities every year to honor firefighters, police officers, EMS workers, and other first responders who died in the line of duty.
