A new report predicts Pennsylvania will need nearly 3,420 more nurse practitioners in 2032 than it had in 2022. These jobs are predicted to grow the most by 2032:. That need — an increase of 43% — makes nurse practitioners the fastest-growing occupation in the state, according to the report from the state Center for Workforce Information and Analysis.

CDC Investigates Multistate Listeria Outbreak Linked to Deli Meats in PA and other States
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is currently investigating a multistate outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes, which has so far affected 28 individuals across 12 states. According to the latest reports, all 28 infected individuals have been hospitalized, and there have been two fatalities linked to the outbreak—one in Illinois and another in New Jersey.
Suspect rips business off for $13,000
Selinsgrove, Pa. — An unknown suspect used a credit card with insufficient funds to pay for $13,000 of building products, police say. Around June 26, the suspect called Kohl Building Products in Penn Township and ordered building products including roof shingles, according to Trp. Derek Gill of state police at Selinsgrove. The sales representative took the order over the phone along with a credit card number provided by the suspect. The suspect then promptly went to the business to pick up the products. A short time later, representatives at the business found that the credit card transaction was denied for insufficient funds. Anyone with information may contact PSP Selinsgrove at 570-374-8145.

Ty Stecko, who began his college career at Mount St. Mary’s, recently announced a commitment to Eastern Michigan.
