Honoring Fathers Sweepstakes opens Friday

The Greenville Advocate asks for your help in honoring our fathers. We each have memories of our “superhero” dad and we want to hear yours as well.

This year’s emphasis, the Honoring Fathers Sweepstakes, will focus on telling the story of how your dad, or dad figure, is your hero. By nominating dads for the sweepstakes, you enter for a chance to have Dad featured in an article for an upcoming Advocate issue. By sharing your entry on social media, you earn extra entries and more chances for your dad to be selected for a feature.

My father passed away in February 1990. I was 18 years old.

He has been gone a long time and I miss him every day. I wish I had taken more opportunities to tell him what a great dad he was.

The Honoring Fathers Sweepstakes is intended to help our communities tell their fathers, and our readers, how great he is.

When nominating your dad, please tell us why he is “My Daddy, My Hero.” Entries can be made for your own father or on behalf of younger children, for dads living or those who are deceased.

The sweepstakes starts on June 7 at 6 p.m. and runs through 6 p.m. on June 21. Nominations can be made by visiting our website at www.greenvilleadvocate.com/contests .

Entries should include contact information for you and Dad as well as a description of his superhero attributes and a photo we may publish.
