    Richard Mack Castleberry

    Richard Mack Castleberry passed away peacefully June 27 surrounded by his wife and grandchildren. He was born on Oct. 9, 1955 in Fort Benning, Georgia. He was a graduate of Greenville High School in 1973. He received a degree in welding from Reid State.

    He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Betty Castleberry; one daughter Jessica Castleberry; five grandchildren Kayla (Jesse) Webb, Hayden (Chasen) Giddens, Coburn Blackmon, Wiley Blackmon and Liam Weathers and one great granddaughter Layla Webb. He is also survived by one sister Sandra (Jerry) Owens, several nieces and nephews and one very close cousin Robert Burkett.

    He was preceded in death by his parents Wiley Castleberry and Audrey Burkett Castleberry

    He spent most of his life as a hard working welder who took pride in his work. He worked 18 years at Rheem Manufacturing in Greenville, where he had the pleasure of working with many people he called friends and family.
