On June 28, Georgiana School held a ring ceremony to honor the boys’ basketball team’s state championship. The event, organized by Nina Bonner and Angie Binion, began with a welcome and a few words about the team’s stellar season from head basketball coach Kirk Norris.

“The unveiling of the championship rings was a great way to cap off our historic season,” Norris said. “[The rings] turned out great and will be a fitting reminder of the accomplishments made this season.”

Following Norris’s remarks, the student athletes were called up individually to receive their rings in front of friends and family. The ceremony concluded with time for socializing and photo opportunities, marking a memorable celebration of the team’s hard-earned success.

The rings were donated in a collaborative effort by Milton Parks, Matthew Colvin, Maggie Scruggs, Tessie Harris and Barbara Gunter.
