Tuberville helps secure $550 million for I-10 bridge and bayway
U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) recently announced a $550 million federal grant for the I-10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway Project. Senator Tuberville has been working with the U.S. Department of Transportation to secure this grant through the Bridge Investment Program for south Alabama since being sworn into office in 2021.

Montgomery police name victim in Tuesday night shooting death
Montgomery police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting that claimed the life of a 25-year-old Montgomery man. Police responding to a report of a shooting at 8:03 p.m. found Lamarcus McCall with a fatal gunshot wound, said MPD Maj. Saba Coleman. McCall was pronounced dead at the scene in the 2500 block of Bridle Path Lane, police said.

Mobile County: Loaded AR-15, stolen Camaro seized in Alabama highway stop
MOBILE COUNTY, Ala. (WPMI) — According to MCSO, Wednesday, July 17, 2024, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office Interstate Interdiction Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-10 near the Alabama Welcome Center. MCSO Deputy observed the vehicle turning into the Welcome Center and followed. When Deputy was approaching vehicle, the driver appeared to be attempting to flee while the passenger was reaching towards the floorboard area. Additional MCSO Deputies arrived to assist and secured the scene.
Montgomery Public School students design cars of the future, judged by industry experts
Last semester, 190 Montgomery middle schoolers created designs and prototypes of automobiles in 2050. Students throughout Montgomery Public School's nine middle schools participated in the nine-week program, which culminated in a competition that was judged by experts in the industry. The students created designs for vehicles in reaction to issues facing drivers today, said Samantha Swanigan, the Montgomery-based student fellows specialist at Ed Farm.
