GLASGOW, Ky. – A man is behind bars after a police pursuit involving a motorcycle on Saturday in Glasgow. According to a uniform citation, the Glasgow Police Department responded around 4:16 p.m. Saturday to the 300 block of Lexington Drive regarding a male subject that had charges with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office.
Beam Institute at UK hires first class of summer interns
LEXINGTON, Ky. — Eight students are working at the James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits as its first class of interns this summer. The group is a mix of students from different programs and majors at the University of Kentucky. Officials said the city of Morehead is preparing to take big steps in making downtown more welcoming to the community and visitors. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet awarded the city of Morehead with a Creating Vibrant Communities grant, allowing city officials to partner with multiple other entities to increase downtown Morehead’s accessibility, economic draw, and beauty.
