Purchase of Audrain Community Hospital gives community local ownership and control
AUDRAIN COUNTY — A community effort of buying the old Audrain County hospital that has been closed since March 2022 made progress Friday. Man with outstanding warrant arrested in Miner
MINER, MO (KBSI) – A man with an outstanding felony warrant was arrested on July 18. Matthew McCormick had a warrant for his arrest in Mississippi County, Missouri. Authorities received information that McCormick was residing in Miner where he was located and arrested. He awaits his court appearance in the Mississippi County Sheriff’s Office on delivering a controlled substance and two counts of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond is set to $50,000.

The U.S. economy grew at a 2.8% annual rate in the second quarter, outpacing expectations. The gross domestic product snapshot published Thursday showed second-quarter economic expansion doubled the first quarter's 1.4% rate. SUNRISE BEACH, Mo. — An owner of Chic's N Dix HonkyTonk & Saloon unexpectedly passed away at the establishment Wednesday afternoon. Sunrise Beach police officers responded to a medical call at 3:33 p.m., July 24, and found 56-year-old Rick Griffin unconscious inside the building. Unfortunately, he died on scene. The department does not suspect foul play.
