Golden Ticket Cinemas announced Friday that the Greenville Grande cinema complex is now open after several delays.

The company announced in November it was reopening the former Regal Grande at 750 S.E. Greenville Blvd. in December with additional auditoriums opening later.

On Friday, three films were playing at the complex with two standard viewing arenas with luxury recliners and an Elite Experience theater with a premium large screen, laser projection, immersive Dolby Atmos sound and heated seating.

Argylle and Madame Web were playing in the standard rooms with Bob Marley: One Love in the Elite theater.

Renovations at the complex are ongoing with an IMAX theater to open next winter, according to the Golden Ticket website. It will have laser projection and a “12-channel immersive sound system,” the company said.

Golden Ticket Cinemas opened in 2017 with its first location in Washington, N.C., according to the company’s website, www.gtcinemas.com.

The company now has 122 screens in 19 locations across 12 states. Along with the Washington location, the company’s other North Carolina locations are in Lenoir and Greensboro.

The 14-screen Greenville Grande opened in 2007 and closed in September 2022 when Regal declared bankruptcy.
