    ECU Summer Camp comes to Washington

    East Carolina University (ECU) and the Pamlico Business Resource Center are excited to announce a collaborative effort to introduce a transformative opportunity for youth in Washington and neighboring areas to engage in the highly successful annual ECU Summer Innovation Camp that aims to inspire and empower young minds by imparting essential entrepreneurship skills and offering guidance on launching a business.

    The Washington Innovation Camp’s hybrid format integrates ECU’s renowned academic expertise with the local support and community engagement provided by the Pamlico Business Resource Center, allowing participants to experience the best of both worlds.

    Sessions will be hosted at ECU’s state-of-the-art facilities in Greenville and the Pamlico Business Resource Center in Washington. Transportation will be provided for participants traveling between the two locations, ensuring accessibility for all.

    “We are excited to partner with the Pamlico Business Resource Center to offer this unique opportunity to the youth of Washington,” said ECU Camp Leader Corey Pulido. “By joining forces, we can provide a truly transformative experience combining academic excellence and community engagement.”

    The ECU Summer Innovation Camp will take place from July 8th to 12th, 2024. And is available to 9 th – 12 th grade students – Limited spots are available, and registration is now open. This innovative program will be offered at no charge to approved applicants.

    Keith Hudson, Executive Director of the Pamlico Business Resource Center, stated, ‘The Summer Innovation Camp presents a unique opportunity for youth in Washington to develop valuable skills and pursue their entrepreneurial aspirations’ and expressed his excitement about collaborating with ECU to bring this innovative program to Beaufort County’s youth.
