    Greenville murder suspect arrested in Georgia

    A man wanted for an April homicide in west Greenville was apprehended in Georgia early Wednesday, police report.

    Jah’Quore Connor, 19, of Farmville was taken into custody in Marietta after he barricaded himself in a residence, the Greenville Police Department said.

    He was being sought for his involvement in the April 15 shooting death of Jahsijah Montejah Jahson, 34, in the 1000 block of West Third Street near White Street.

    Jahson was found suffering a gunshot wound in the yard of a home and died on the scene, police said.

    The arrest was coordinated by Greenville’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team, the State Bureau of Investigation and Marietta and Cobb County police departments. A spokeswoman for Greenville police said officers from the department were not on scene.

    Details of how long Collins was holed up how he was extractd were not available. Attempts to contact Georgia authorities for more information were not successful.

    On April 17, Zy’quan Malik Johnson, 21, of 93 Jamal Sarsour St., Walstonburg, was arrested in Rocky Mount for his involvement in the killing, police said.

    Rocky Mount police assisted in his arrest. He was charged with murder and accessory after the fact of murder.
