    Greenville man arrested on outstanding drug warrants

    WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — A Greenville man has been arrested after multiple outstanding warrants and drug charges were issued against him.

    Antonio Lamont Harris, 32, was arrested by deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office, along with K9 Athos. Officials said they received information that Harris was wanted on nine separate charges out of Pitt County and was traveling to Beaufort County in a white Honda Civic. Deputies spotted Harris at a gas station in Washington and arrested him.

    K9 Athos indicated the odor of a drug and a probable cause search was conducted on Harris’ vehicle. Deputies seized four grams of fentanyl and a small amount of marijuana. Harris was arrested and placed in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $410,000 secured bond under the following charges:

    • Felony Possession With Intent to Sell Deliver Schedule II Controlled Substance (Fentanyl)
    • Eight orders for Arrest for Failure to Appear out of Pitt County
    • Misdemeanor Warrant out of Pitt County
