GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Former President Trump has made several campaign stops in Eastern North Carolina throughout the years, including a rally at the Pitt-Greenville Airport in 2020.

Executive Director of the airport, Bill Hopper, said they work closely with local, state and federal agencies during events like that.

“It’s a very in-depth, very detailed, you know, effort. And, you know, everybody involved are very much professionals and the safety of the public and the person that they’re trying to protect is always number one priority,” Hopper said.

He said they’re prepared to work closely with the White House and Secret Service for any future visits from a sitting President or presidential candidate.
