    Diaper pantry

    The Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children is offering a Bottoms for Babies Diaper Pantry from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays at 111 Eastbrook Drive. Recipients must be a parent/guardian and a resident of Martin or Pitt County, provide a photo ID and the ages of each child. Email ichapman@mppfc.org or call 758-8885.

    Farmers Market

    Art exhibits

    Emerge Gallery, 404 Evans St., is hosting the K-12 Student Art Exhibition for Pitt County Schools. Visit emergegallery.com. Greenville Museum of Art, 802 S. Evans St., is hosting “The Home I Never Knew: Ni de Aquí, Ni de Allá.” The exhibit, is on display through Nov. 1 in the West Wing and Commons galleries, featuring the work of two dozen artists.     Food pantries

    The St. Vincent de Paul Society will provide food bags curbside at St. Peters Catholic Church, 2700 E. Fourth St., from 11 a.m. to noon on Tuesday. Food is distributed every other Tuesday.

    The Benevolence Food Pantry at The Memorial Baptist Church, 1510 S.E. Greenville Blvd, will hold a drive-through service to provide boxes and bags of food 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday. The event is on the second and fourth Tuesday. Call 714-7373 for information.

    St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Food Pantry, 401 E. Fourth St., is open from 1-3 p.m. on Thursdays serving the entire community. Parking is available behind the church on Third Street. Call 752-3482.

    Bocce

    The Greene County Senior Center, 104 Greenridge Road, Snow Hill, offers bocce games at 9 a.m. every Wednesday, and visitors can make puppy treats for the Greene County Animal Shelter at 12:30 p.m. on Thursdays.

    Shaw University Alumni

    The Pitt County Chapter of Shaw University National Alumni Association will celebrate with family and friends from 6-11 p.m. on Aug. 2 at the Greenville Country Club, 216 Country Club Drive. The event will feature Shaw’s representative, representatives from Congressman Don Davis’ office, a gospel comedienne, music and a meal. Attire is semi-formal.     Browntown picnic

    The annual Browntown Community Picnic Day will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 3 at 4618 N.C. 258, Snow Hill. Call 315-7002 for information. The event will feature historians on site to examine antiques brought in by participants.

    National Night Out

    The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office is planning National Night Out events from 6-8 p.m. on Aug. 6 at Bell Arthur EMS, 466 Stantonsburg Road, and G.R. Whitfield School, 4839 School Road, Grimesland.     Market on the Square

    The Winterville Chamber of Commerce will host its National Night Out Market on the Square 4:30-7:30 p.m. on Aug. 8 at 252 Main St. Visit www.wintervillechamber.com.
