Tips to keep your AC running properly this summer

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Delcor Inc. is a HVAC Contractor in Greenville that serves more than 7,000 customers.

They say summer is their busiest season and while they’re trying to get to everybody to fix their AC units, they have some tips to keep them running properly. Delcor recommends closing the blinds or curtains to block out heat and keep in coolness.

Older units have lower freon levels and won’t cool as efficiently. They say not to change the temperature too much when cooling the home or the apartment.

“Sometimes people think that it’s more efficient that I’m at work all day, I’m going to raise the temperature six, seven degrees. It takes a while for that air conditioning to work, so try not to bridge those gaps. This time of year, try to maintain one temperature,” said James Greenleaf, Delcor Inc. General Manager.

Delcor says when it comes to call response, they try to prioritize commercial clients, elderly customers and those using Delcor-year round.
