GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — On June 30, deputies with the Pitt County Sheriff’s Office were sent to the 2300 block of Mills Road due to a report of shots fired with a possible victim shot.

Upon arrival, deputies could not locate any shooting victims but an hour later, a victim went to the magistrate’s office, claiming their vehicle had been shot. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit were assigned to the case and began their investigation.

Detectives interviewed the victim and discovered that the incident stemmed from an armed robbery that took place in the city limits of Greenville. Detectives from the Greenville Police Department also came in, resulting in the issuance of warrants for the arrest of 20-year-old Yaushen Kyreese Dade-El of Greenville.

Pitt County Sheriff’s Office detectives charged Dade-El with three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and shooting into an occupied vehicle. Greenville Police detectives obtained warrants for first degree kidnapping, robbery with a dangerous weapon and two counts of felony conspiracy.

He was arrested on July 3 at his residence by Pitt County deputies and Greenville officers where he was then booked into the Pitt County Detention Center where he remains under a $650,000 secured bond.
