GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Two men have been charged with murder, in addition to other crimes, after a shooting Wednesday on S. Memorial Drive in Greenville.

Greenville police officers responded to a shots fired call and determined the suspects got out of their vehicle and fired into another vehicle that had four people inside.

Minutes after the shooting, officers stopped a possible suspected vehicle in the parking lot of Food Lion on Easy Street. At that time, Terrance Harrell, 20, arrived at ECU Health with multiple gunshot wounds. Harrell died at the hospital several hours later.

Police arrested Kiheim Roman Perkins, 19 and Kenyon Fowlkes, 24. Both were charged with:

    • Murder
    • Three counts assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
    • Three counts attempted first degree murder
    • Three counts discharging a weapon into occupied property inflicting serious bodily injury

Police said the shooting was a targeted incident and there is no believed ongoing threat to the public.
