    Greenville man arrested for drug trafficking

    GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Deputies with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office and the Craven County Sheriff’s Office and officers with the New Bern Police Department, Greenville Regional Drug Task Force and NC SBI arrested a Greenville man on multiple drug charges.

    The officers and deputies with these stations were working on a drug investigation into 25 year old Patrick O’Brien Coffey. The investigation lead them to a residence in Edward, where they executed a search warrant. The search revealed 48 grams of cocaine, seven grams of fentanyl, 20 grams of marijuana, $4,890 and two guns.

    Coffey was arrested on July 8, and charged with Trafficking in Cocaine by Possession, Trafficking in Opium/Heroin by Possession, Possession of Marijuana up to 1/2 ounce and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center where is he being held under no bond.
