GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — Greenville’s Fire and Rescue’s Jr. Marshal Academy promoted safety for senior citizens on Thursday.

The campers made more than 100 first aid kits and distributed them to three different senior living communities-Cypress Glen, Spring Arbor and Life House. The campers learned about fire safety, weather safety, pool safety and more. Campers said that they were excited to share what they learned, and the first aid kits, with others.

“There’s some gauze, band-aids, ointments,” said Junior Fire Marshal Tyson Evans. “in case someone is bleeding, or something like that.”

On Friday, the campers will graduate from the academy and be official Junior Fire Marshals.
