    Crime Roundup: 11 firearms stolen from Greenville residence

    Almost a dozen firearms of various type and make were stolen from a Bell Arthur duplex, reports show.

    The Pitt County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a breaking and entering at 3:21 p.m. Friday from the 1500 block of Ashland Drive. That area is a residential space north of Stantonsburg Road, near the Bell Arthur EMS station.

    An incident report said the break-in took place between 6 a.m. and the time of the report.

    Four handguns valued at $1,800, three rifles valued at $1,900, two shotguns valued at $1,000, a bolt action rifle valued at $400 and a semiautomatic rifle valued at $400 were listed as stolen in the report.

    The case is listed as active.
