Church in Greenville works to help kids get supplies for the new school year

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WNCT) — As August approaches, so does the start of a new school year.

English Chapel Church in Greenville is holding a Live at 5 Back to School Bash where they will be giving away backpacks and other school supplies, along with vendors, food, games, a live DJ and more. Speakers from the Sheriff’s department, the health department, a mental health organization and others will come out to share some knowledge on different topics.

Cynthia Daniels, Youth Coordinator at English Chapel Church says their hope is to help the community and get kids ready to take on the new school year with the necessary supplies.

The event will take place on August 3 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m.
