    Vote for Upstate's top defensive back headed into 2024 high school football season

    The Upstate has some elite high school football defensive backs. Here is your chance to pick favorites from six candidates, listed in alphabetical order. Multiple votes are allowed. Polls will close at 5 p.m. Saturday.

    Chamarryus Bomar, Westside, Sr: Bomar is an Appalachian State commit cornerback who had a pair of interceptions while also playing wide receiver.

    Ramani Bruton, J.L. Mann, Sr.: Bruton made 11 interceptions in the past two seasons at Greenville. He has an offer from Georgia State.

    Somad Eaddy, Riverside, Jr.: Eaddy already has offers from West Virginia, Maryland and Coastal Carolina.

    Jeremiah Favorite, Boiling Springs, Jr.: Favorite already has offers from Virginia Tech, Indiana, Coastal Carolina and East Carolina.

    Cam Strong, T.L Hanna, Sr.: Strong, who committed to N.C. State and has five other Power Four offers, is the state’s No. 2 senior defensive back by 247Sports.

    Armoni Weaver, Westside, Sr.: Weaver, like teammate Bomar, is a standout wide receiver but committed to Appalachian State as a defensive back.
