South Carolina native and southern rock musician Marcus King is bringing some of his favorite artists to the Upstate as the Marcus King Band Family Reunion is headed to Simpsonville at the CCNB Amphi theater on Saturday, Aug. 24, and Sunday, Aug. 25.

"When I was growing up in South Carolina, once a year we'd pack the family car up and head up to my great grandparents' home for some front porch pickin', covered dishes, lots of love and plenty leftovers," King said. "This is where I learned about the joy music could bring and how it's a powerful force that brings us together."

This weekend, ticket holders will experience the sounds of rock, folk, and Americana from Southern guests such as The Avett Brothers, Darby Wilcox, and more Carolina-based and regional artists who will perform at 861 SE Main St.

Doors open at 3 p.m., and the show begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday. It will feature music, food, and more and last until 11:30 p.m. on Sunday.

Here are all of the details of this weekend's upcoming concert tour:

    Who is Marcus King?

Greenville native Marcus King has accomplished much in his 28 years of living and just over 10 years of musical prominence. He was recently inducted into the South Carolina Music and Entertainment Hall of Fame.

King, who is now a Tennessee resident, is enjoying a budding career. As of 2023, he recently married Briley Hussey and is now bringing his Family Reunion Tour back to his hometown roots in the Palmetto State.
