CLEMSON — Clemson football and Dabo Swinney face pressure in 2024.

The Tigers made the College Football Playoff for six consecutive seasons (2015-20) but have missed it the past three. Swinney, entering his 17th season, has faced criticism for his lack of transfer portal use, having opted to recruit and develop high school players rather than bringing in experienced transfers to fill key holes.

Clemson hopes the coach's philosophy can deliver an appearance in the 12-team expanded CFP this season. Still, pundits are mixed on whether it can return to its glory days.

Here's a look at what experts are predicting for Clemson in 2024:

    What will Clemson's record be?

    ESPN : Ceiling: 11-1 | Floor: 6-6

USA TODAY Sports' Paul Myerberg : 10-2 (7-1 ACC)

    Greenville News : 9-3 (6-2 ACC)
