    Weekend events in Upstate includes WWE Smackdown, Chili Cook-Off, comedy by Henry Cho

    The weekend is here, and various events are happening in the Upstate, from WWE Smackdown to a Chilli Cook-Off and a comedy show. Whether you're looking to relax outside or spend time inside, there are plenty of opportunities to create memories this week upstate.

    WWE Smackdown

    WWE Smackdown will be in Greenville on Friday, October 11, at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena at 650 N. Academy St. The event starts at 7:45 p.m. General admission tickets are $35.

    Fans can look forward to an exciting lineup of WWE superstars, including undisputed WWE Champion "The American Nightmare" Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, United States Champion LA Knight, WWE Women's Tag Team Champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill,  Bayley and Solo Sikoa.

    Intercontinental Champion Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker from Monday Night RAW and Sheamus vs. Ludwig Kaiser are also scheduled.

    Piedmont Pickle Fest

    Carolina Bauernhaus, 556 Perry Ave., Suite B118, in Greenville, is hosting the second annual Piedmont Pickle Fest from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. The event will include pickle merchandise, tastings, and activities for all those who love pickles.

    A Hot Brine Pickling class (VIP) will take place at noon.

    All-day events:--Pickle tastings--Casual pickleball court--Pickle-inspired menu provided by the Culinary Institute of the Carolinas at Greenville Tech--Shopping with local vendors

    3-5 p.m.: Music from Down Homesteaders5-8 p.m.: Music from Hammock Theory

    5 p.m. - “Pickle-Packing-Pow-Pow” Competition. How many pickles can you pack in your cheeks and still say the phrase?

    6 p.m. - Piedmont Pickle Costume Contest, Pickle Prince & Princess Crowned at 6:30 p.m.

    Hub City Chili Cookoff

    Downtown Sertoma is presenting the Hubcity Chili Cookoff from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday at Barnet Park in Spartanburg.

    The event aims to raise money for children's charities in Spartanburg, ensuring that funds go to meaningful causes in the community. Attendees can enjoy chili tastings, ice-cold beer, and live music performances by the bands Back 9, Cross-eyed Betty, and the Millwrites.

    Henry Cho: From Here To There Tour

    On Friday, October 11, c omedian Henry Cho will perform at Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium at 7 p.m. General admission tickets start at $49.

    Cho was inducted as the 229th member of The Grand Ole Opry and has worked extensively with Vince Gill, Amy Grant, Willie Nelson, Carrie Underwood, and Reba.

    Cho recently completed filming a Hallmark movie, “The Farmer and the Belle: Saving Santaland.”

    Hispanic Heritage Festival

    The Anderson County Latinx Council is hosting its third annual Hispanic Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 12, starting at 2 p.m. at the Anderson County Farmers Market at 402 N Murray St. in Anderson. General admission is free.

    The event will feature vendors, children's activities, music, and dancers.

    Honea Path Fall Festival on Main

    The Honea Path Fall Festival on Main will take place on Saturday, October 12, from 11 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. on downtown Main Street in Honea Path.

    The opening ceremony starts at 10 a.m. The event will feature activities throughout the day, including live music, crafts, food trucks, a bike and car show, a cornhole tournament, vendors, kid activities, a 5K walk/run, honey sampling, a blood drive, and even a honey sampling contest.
