Schenectady man arrested for stealing oxycodone from employer, tampering with evidence
The Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office arrested Nerraw A. Black Jr., 29, of Schenectady on August 20 for tampering with evidence, among other charges. The Sheriff’s Office says he is accused of stealing a quantity of oxycodone from his employer in the Town of Wilton on July 13, which it is alleged he was knowingly and unlawfully in possession of a controlled substance.

Ulster County Village Looking to Set a New Speed Limit
Officials in Saugerties, New York have begun the process to set a village-wide speed limit. Most towns and villages across the Hudson Valley have reasonable speed limits set throughout each area, with most limits ranging from 15 to 30 mph. The low limits are put in place in high foot traffic areas in hopes of making it safer for pedestrians walking around town. The speed limits do vary by town/village. In Saugerties, 80% of the village currently has a 25 mph speed limit with the other 20% having it set at 30 mph.
Albany Police investigate Whitehall Road shooting
ALBANY, N.Y. (WRGB) — Albany Police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital Saturday night. According to a release, at approximately 9:15 p.m. Saturday, staff from Albany Medical Center Hospital notified police that a 34-year-old man had entered the emergency room with a gunshot wound to his foot. Upon arrival at the hospital, officers said they spoke with the victim, who told them that he was shot while outside in the backyard of a residence in the area of Whitehall Road and Kate Street.
