A preliminary investigation showed the driver of a 2011 gold Chrysler 200 was stopped facing east at a stop sign at the intersection. The driver is believed to have tried to travel through the intersection, but hit a driver in a Buick Regal headed north. The Chrysler driver struck a driver of a 2020 white Ford Explorer stopped at a stop sign.

The drivers of the Chrysler and Buick were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The driver of the Ford did not report injuries.

The sheriff’s office reports the Chrysler driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
