DAYTON, Ohio (WDTN) — An intersection in Darke County shut down for several hours after a crash.

The Darke County Sheriff’s Office responded to a reported crash before 10 a.m. at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Children’s Home-Bradford Road in Greenville.

Minor injuries suffered during Greenville crash

According to a preliminary investigation conducted, the driver of a 2024 gray Toyota Rav-4 was headed east on Childrens Home-Bradford Road. The driver is believed to have not stopped at the intersection at U.S. 127, which caused the driver to crash into the side of a semi.

“The Rav-4 was pinned under the trailer and dragged over 100 feet before coming to rest,” said the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.

Before the Toyota driver could be mechanically extracted, it is reported that the semi had to be lifted off of the vehicle.

CareFlight took the Toyota driver to Miami Valley Hospital with “suspected serious injuries.”
