What’s the best advice you have ever received?

I love Coach Dabo Swinney’s quote about work ethic: “They don’t put championship rings on smooth hands. You have to put the work in.”

What’s the best advice you could give?

Treat all levels of your organization with respect and kindness to foster good, healthy relationships. Relationships are vital and you never know where a relationship will lead, or where an idea will come from within your organization.

What is the stiffest challenge facing your industry right now?

From a venue standpoint, constantly managing increasing operational costs without compromising our standard of services and offerings.

Little known fact about your company or you:

I was the arena’s third-party independent auditor for five years prior to joining the arena team. You never know where a relationship will lead.

What was your first job?

My first official paycheck was working as a golf cart attendant at Smithfields Country Club.

Describe your role:

I oversee all aspects of the finances including budgeting, debt, contract administration, financial planning and analysis, capital improvement as well as overseeing ticket sales, premium seating clients, and show settlements.

What does your company do?

At the end of the day, our organization does FUN. We provide a 15,000-seat venue as an outlet for folks to enjoy a show, let loose for a few hours, and simply have a good time among friends, family and colleagues.
