The Gratefull GVL community potluck is back for 2024

Save the date ( and some turkey for us ) on Monday, Nov. 25. Gratefull GVL — a free, city-wide community potluck lunch — is returning to the Main Street Bridge. The lunch will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

The event launched in 2019 and invites all Greenvillians to one long table in the heart of our downtown. Fun fact — over 3,000 people attended the original event and over 120 businesses, organizations, and restaurants contributed to the buffet.


The goal ( beyond having a delicious meal) is to encourage open conversations about diversity + change in our city. The event was a hit in 2019, took place again in 2020, and this will be the first Gratefull GVL potluck since then.

What to expect in 2024

This year, all food will be donated and safely served by local restaurant sponsors + additional money raised ahead of the meal will benefit Mill Village Ministries’ FoodShare Greenville program. Heads up — Organizers say they’re expecting 5,000+ guests at this year’s table.
