GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – A person being evicted from a property in Greenville County is accused of stabbing another woman Thursday morning.

The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said the stabbing happened at a property on Regency Hill Drive around 11 a.m.

According to deputies, 34-year-old Michell Silva Perez became upset at being evicted and began to cause a disturbance.

During that disturbance, deputies said Perez stabbed a woman with a “sword.”

Prior to the stabbing, Perez allegedly ambushed the victim, an employee at Miracle Hill, and forced her to the ground,

Warrants said that video evidence showed Perez stabbing the victim in the stomach to the point where internal organs were exposed.

The victim was taken to an area hospital where she will undergo surgery.

Perez was taken into custody at the scene and will be booked into the Greenville County Detention Center, deputies said.

Perez has been charged with attempted murder and the possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
