Staunton conserving water across city amid drought conditions
STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) - With many people across the Valley dealing with the drought, the City of Staunton is conserving water while continuing to keep its parks green. Though rain has been scarce in the valley, plants and other forms of vegetation still need water to survive. Previously, the city was taking water from the city reservoir. Now, the city is taking water from Peyton Creek in Gypsy Hill Park. The spring water used not only helps conserve city water for residential and business use, it also is a healthier water source for plants in the city.
