Nelson County: Motorcycle crash on Route 151 takes life of Nellysford man
Virginia State Police is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash that occurred at 7:46 p.m. Sunday on Route 151 in Nelson County. A 2017 Harley-Davidson FXDLS was heading northbound on Route 151, Rockfish Valley Highway, at the intersection with Route 627, Glenthorne Loop, when the motorcycle went off of the right side of the road, struck the roadbed of Glenthorne Loop, went airborne, and struck a guardrail.
UVA baseball’s Griff O’Ferrall and Ethan Anderson drafted to the Baltimore Orioles
The Virginia Cavaliers now have triple-digit MLB Draft selections under head coach Brian O’Connor. Griff O’Ferrall was selection #99 after he was drafted to the Baltimore Orioles at pick #32, and Ethan Anderson was selection #100 for Coack Oak since he came to Charlottesville in 2004 after he was drafted with the #62 pick, also by the Baltimore Orioles.

Storms ravage many Augusta County residents in short amount of time
MIDDLEBROOK, Va. (WHSV) - Quick bursts of rain and wind caused damages ranging from debris in the roads to an entire tree collapsing on top of a family’s home on July 16. As reported here, a wall of storms tore through parts of the Shenandoah Valley and left other parts dry. Many families watched from their homes as tree limbs fell onto the roadways and toppled onto power lines. One family in Middlebrook had a transformer blow up in front of their home and a tree collapse on a rental property they owned. You can find the picture below.
