The Greenwich Health Department says for the first time this season, mosquitoes that were trapped in Old Greenwich have tested positive for West Nile virus. The town's health director tells News 12 it is very early in the summer for this to happen. "This is the public health alert for West Nile, we do have West Nile virus in the Old Greenwich, Riverside area. This year it's early, we usually get positive mosquitoes in August," says Caroline Calderone Baisley. Baisley says mosquitoes are most active when it was dusk and or dawn. She recommends wearing pants, long sleeved shirts and mosquito repellent if you go outside during those times. "
