At Parcelle, the servers are also sommeliers, and some of them refer to champagne as “champs,” even when it’s from a lesser-known, family-run vineyard. This is, in other words, a cool wine bar , although it’s not the kind of place you pop into for a quick drink. Like the original Lower East Side location , the Greenwich Village Parcelle has no bar, just a decent number of tables spread out across a room with rugs on the floor and sheer curtains on the windows. It’s a nice, mellow place to hang out for an hour or two, while you sample the daily rosé by the glass and pop some salami that tastes like beef jerky. The menu leans Italian, with mostly snacky options, but there are a few larger items, including a bowl of rigatoni tossed with deeply oceanic tuna.
