    UPDATE: Less than 2,000 SWEPCO customers without power in Greenwood; power restored for Bonanza customers

    GREENWOOD, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — UPDATE: Power has been restored to customers in Bonanza. There are 1,934 customers without power in Greenwood. SWEPCO says a car drove into a utility pole which knocked out power in the area.

    SWEPCO says crews are working to restore power to the remaining customers. The company does not know when power will be restored to the remaining customers.


    GREENWOOD, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — UPDATE: SWEPCO’s outage map now shows 2,786 customers are without power.


    GREENWOOD, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — More than 1,000 Southwestern Electric Power Company customers are without power in Greenwood and Bonanza on July 2.

    According to the company’s outage map, 878 customers are without power in Greenwood as of 9 p.m. and 270 customers are without power in Bonanza.

    There is no information regarding what is causing the outages.

    UPDATE: Power restored in Washington County after more than 4,000 were without power

    On the same day, more than 4,000 Ozarks Electric customers lost power in Washington County. The power for those customers has since been restored.
